Guests were stunned and at same time thoroughly enjoyed themselves as the representative of the Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson took to the stage to perform at the burial party of his iCare Foundation Director – General’s mother’s burial party.
Dare Melody, the popular juju and gospel musician who was saddled with the responsibility of entertaining guests of Mayor Muyideen Sanwoola, warmly allowed the youthful lawmaker to takeover from him.
He was joined by Mr Aro Moshood Abiodun (AMA), the Ikorodu Constituency II Assembly seat hopeful and a professional musician who took the performance to another level.
The occasion presented Rep. Benson, popularly called JB, and Mr Aro the opportunity to thank God for the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the Presidential candidate of the APC in the just concluded National Convention of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The duo sang lyrics like, ‘Oluwa E to bi…’, “On your Mandate we shall stand…’, ‘O ja s’ope…’, ‘Oyi ribibi o yi kan wa o…’, ‘Mo ti gba gbe, ibanuje igba kan’ and ‘O ye ka dupe’ among many other songs.
Builder Sesan Daini, Chairman, Igbogbo/Bayeku, also joined JB, AMA and Melody, to showed his own singing skills as he grabbed the microphone to sing, ‘Emi fa ra mo Mandate…’, and ‘Ese ibi ti e ti bere’ .
It was also an avenue for the duo to also be greatful for their own political succeses.
Even though, Mayor Sanwoola was conspicuously missing on the stage during JB and AMA’s performances as he was attending to guests, the likes of Mr Oluwatoyin Gafaar Bolowotan, Ikorodu Constituency I Assembly seat aspirant, Mr Shopitan, Executve Assistant to the Governor on Maritime Affairs, Hon. Adeola Banjo, Chairman, Ikorodu North LCDA and Hon. Sulaimon Kazeem Olanrewaju, Chairman, Ikorodu West LCDA, also stormed the bandstand to show their dancing skills.
The stage also had the presence of members of the iCare Foundstion, APC members and other guests who were stunned by the politicians’ show of musical prowess at the memorable burial of the mother of the renowned political strategist, Mayor Deen Sanwoola.
Also at the party were Hon. Wasiu Adekunle Agoro, Chairman, Imota LCDA, Alhaji Monzor Olowoshago, Publisher, Oriwu Sun newspaper among others.
